Apidura’s Backcountry Saddle Pack offers 4.5 litres of storage capacity, positioning neatly behind the saddle out of the wind. The adaptable roll-down closure makes it ideal for lighter, compressible cargo such as clothes or a sleeping bag, and means that even when not full, the contents can be kept stable and secure. With the waterproof fabrics and welded seams, any rain or mud will be kept at bay and the wide Velcro straps benefit from Hypalon reinforcement for extra durability. This strength does not come at the expense of added weight though, as the pack sits at an impressive 235 grams (claimed). Reflective details and a Hypalon light loop add low-light safety on the road and there is an external bungee cord for quickly stashing unwanted layers.
