Made with Colnago’s usual attention to detail, the Fork Expander 1-1/8th is used inserted into the steerer tube to tighten the headset. Most modern carbon fork steerer tubes can’t accept a traditional star-fangled nut, either because it might damage and weaken the carbon or because the thickness of the carbon wall means that the internal diameter is too small. This fork expander is a safe and neat alternative.
