DT Swiss Endurance Aero 111 ERC 1400 WTS 35mm Wheelset
The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has been refined with meticulous attention to detail, from the aero rims to the spokes and hubs. However, to further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), it became apparent that an aerodynamic tyre was necessary. When no existing tyre could meet the high standards of low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss collaborated to create their own solution. Partnering with Continental, which contributed advanced rubber technology, they developed the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, seamlessly complementing the wheel's design and setting new aerodynamic standards.
The tyre features 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are engineered to control turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag across the entire wheel-tyre system and delivering a more efficient ride.
