The Fizik Antares R1 Braided Saddle offers comfort, flexibility and weight saving features that will appeal to the serious road rider looking for a saddle that will deliver optimum performance.

Fizik Antares R1 Braided Saddle

The shape of the Fizik Antares R1 Braided Saddle is wider and shorter than that of the Arione. Fizik describe the rider the Antares is designed for as a Chameleon. Chameleons sit in the middle of the flexibility scale, they are riders who might not be able to get quite as low as some but still enjoy riding in the drops when needed. The tail of the Antares kicks up slightly at the rear to offer more support.

The Antares R1 Braided saddle has carbon rails that save 30 grams over the K:ium rails, seen on the less expensive Fizik saddles. The Antares weighs in at a very respectable 155 grams, yet still retains a level of comfort not normally associated with saddles of this weight.

Fizik utilise their Wing Flex Technology to good effect on the Antares. Wing Flex adds flexibility to the sides of the saddle, where the thighs come into contact with it, this keeps the Antares feeling supple and comfortable, perfect for those who spend long hours in the saddle.

The Antares R1 is finished with Fizik's Microtex covering. This provides a soft and durable surface that perfectly matches Fizik's range of Microtex bar tape. The Antares R1 is also compatible with Fizik's line of ICS saddle bags and lights.
