Fizik Transiro Aeris R3 Short Distance Tri Saddle
The Fizik Transiro Aeris R3 Short Distance Tri Saddle is designed to provide maximum stability and support for time trialists and triathletes, offering an optimal platform for delivering power while in forward, aerodynamic riding positions.
Innovation in bike-fitting analysis, combined with research on cycling aerodynamics, led to a reimagining of triathlon and time-trial saddles. In a field where marginal gains are crucial, offering a saddle that ensures comfort in the most extreme aerodynamic positions marks a significant leap in performance.
The short-distance version of the Aeris has been engineered to provide support and stability for athletes competing in both time trials and short-course, no-draft triathlons. A pressure relief cut-out, which progressively transitions into a channeled nose, enhances comfort. Meanwhile, the properly dimensioned nose offers the right level of support and stability, enabling riders to generate maximum power while in forward, aerodynamic positions.
The saddle padding utilises a type-1 formulation, thicker on the nose, where triathletes and time-trialists spend most of their time, and slimmer on the ischial bones to provide a firmer feel when riders need to rise from the aero position.
The Aeris comes with an optional link for integrating a water-bottle cage at the rear of the saddle. This link is designed to hold bottles at an angle that keeps them out of the way during critical mounting and dismounting phases in transition zones. Complying with UCI regulations, the Aeris is equipped with a revolutionary rail insertion that not only enhances aerodynamic performance but also allows a broad range of adjustability, essential for achieving the ideal forward position to beat the wind.
