When it comes to shoes it doen't matter how much you spend or what features the shoes offer; if they dont fit comfortably then you will not be able to ride to your maximum potential. That is why Giro have created their HV (High Volume) range, specifically designed for riders with wide feet and high insteps. The Trans HV shoes offer all the same features as the the standard Trans, but have been tailored for wider feet to provide increased comfort.

The Giro Trans HV feature Easton's EC70 carbon composite sole which is light, stiff and offers low stack height to maintain the feeling of a direct connection to the pedals. Many modern shoes feature a 'bathtub' like sole design that your feet can press up against, causing pressure and discomfort. The EC70 sole is designed to allow the upper to spill over the edge of the sole when the feet swell or you are riding out of the saddle, to increase the feeling of slipper-like comfort.

The upper of the Trans HV is made from a thin, supple and breathable microfiber that will mold to the shape of your foot over time, cradling your foot securely. A micro ratchet buckle and 2 D-ring straps are are responsible for providing an adjustable closure. The mid-foot D-ring is offset to increase comfort, moving pressure away from the metatarsal bone and delivering a more even tension across the entire foot.

The impressive SuperNatural Fit Kit is included which allows you to customise the level of arch support the footbed offers. Three different velcro inserts can be fitted to match the level of arch your feet have. A well supported arch can make all the difference to both comfort and performance- a solid base will ensure maximum power transfer.
