Designed to go fast, HED's Jet 9 Black Standard Front Wheel has taken numerous professionals to wins in the Tour de France and World Championship Time Trials and Ironman Championships.

Utilising HED's 'hybrid' construction technology, an aluminium 'Plus' black rim is paired with an aerodynamically sculpted UD carbon 'skin'. Optimised for use with clincher tyres, the profile widens the rim-to-tyre interface. The result? Enhanced sidewall stability, lower rolling resistance and increased grip around those technical corners. As well as this, the increased internal volume improves comfort dramatically, and with increased comfort comes increased speed.

The 'skin' is bonded on and is a massive 90mm in depth. Despite this, 'Stability Control Technology' ensures that you not only gain a huge aerodynamic advantage, you also retain excellent crosswind stability on blustery days. Turbine Technology is made up of a black rim with a textured, integrated braking surface. Stopping power is increased by 25% in the dry and 70% in the wet, whilst this technology also increases the life of the rim.

Lacing the rim to the hubs are 18 Sapim CX-Ray Spokes, responsible for further reducing drag. HED has included their Sonic Black Hub with high-grade ABEC stainless bearings, rolling on oversized axles, to ensure no energy is wasted.
