Mavic Aksium II Road Shoe

If you are in the market for an entry-level road shoe then it is difficult to overlook the Mavic Aksium II Road Shoe. At just 250 grams per shoe the Aksium II is lightweight and crammed full of features normally reserved for Mavic's more expensive models.

The outsole is Mavic's Energy Comp design. Made from fibreglass and nylon, it gives the shoe a rigid structure that holds tight to the pedal for great power transfer. The three-bolt cleat fixing will fit Shimano SPD-SL or Look Keo cleats (sold separately).

Inside the shoe the Ortholite insole make sure your feet stay comfortable and vibration-free, even on the longest of rides. The Ortholite foam contours to the form of your foot to provide lasting support and comfort.

Mavic have opted for a synthetic upper with three Velcro straps and mesh inserts. The Velcro straps allow for a precisely adjustable fit and the mesh inserts provide airflow so your feet don't overheat. The Aksium II shoes are available in a slick black colour scheme with eye-catching white graphics on the side and reflective elements that will aid your visibility for others on the road.
