Selle Italia Flite Team Edition Saddle 2014
With a long history in supporting the professional cycling scene and with many victories in the world’s biggest races, both on the road, track, cyclocross and mountain bike, Selle Italia can rightly call this a Team Edition saddle. Used by the likes of Joaquim Rodriguez, number one ranked rider in the UCI Pro Tour and his Katusha Professional Cycling teammates, this saddle is more than capable of giving your bike that “pro” look.
The Flite saddle was first introducted in 1990 and set the cycling industry on fire with its minimal design and svelte looks.
Weight is kept low with minimal padding, not wasting weight in unnecessary areas and instead placing padding on the vital contact points. A 30% carbon shell keeps the weight down as well as adding a solid, stiff and supportive base for the saddle. Yes there is 20% less carbon in the base than the SLR but it also has a 20% increase in carbon compared to the original Flite.
Selle Italia TI136 Titanium rails allow for amazing strength, durability and provide a lightweight clamping base.
With 145x275mm measurements this is an ideal saddle for riders with wide seat bones and a medium range of rotation in the pelvis.
This saddle is available in a striking black and white colour, with trademark Selle Italia logos and attractive white highlights really set this saddle off. Like the iconic Porsche 911, this saddle is a distinctive design that is forever a true classic in its own right.
A saddle ideal for whatever you want to ride, over whatever terrain you want to ride it. As fitting on a state of the art carbon racing bike as it would be on a fully fledged cyclocross steed.
