Zipp's cutting-edge braking technology combines with a versatile 45mm rim depth and rapid rolling Cognition hub to achieve the goal of being fast no matter where you are riding.

Zipp has revised their carbon fibre layup for this new wheel and their NSW (Nest Speed Weaponry) proprietary development has completely changed their wheel building technique and technology used.

The new Cognition hub dramatically reduces drag and alleviates the threat of bearing movement, with a new scalloped design that maintains bore diameter. This means you get bearings that quietly stay in place, roll faster, last longer, and provide a laterally stiffer hub.

Moving onto the carbon fibre rim, Zipp's Sawtooth dimple design consists of 12 nodes that are precisely clocked to start aerodynamic shearing at a speed of 50hz at a ride speed of 20mph. In more understandable terms, this acts like the dimpled surface on a golf ball to create small sheet vortices that increase the laminar bubble effect around the wheel, effectively reducing drag while also improving crosswind security.

On these rims, Zipp has used ImPress graphic technology to directly print the graphics onto the wheel without any negative effect on the Sawtooth dimple design.
