This disc brake specific 303 Tubless Carbon Clincher is a smaller diameter 650B front wheel from Zipp that has two distinct advantages over standard size road wheels.

Firstly, as road bike framesets are beginning to meet the fit requirements of smaller riders, 650b wheels are an integral part of getting that perfect fit.

The second advantage is based on the versatility offered by the disc brake set up. The advent of disc brakes on road bikes has opened up an opportunity to fit a 650b wheel with a wider tyre, bringing the overall diameter closer to a standard road wheel while providing off-road comfort and traction options. This is also aided by the 21mm internal rim width, providing the perfect platform for wider clincher tyres.

Since the rims don't require a braking surface, Zipp's Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) dimples can extend all the way to the outer edge, providing even better aerodynamic performance, especially in a crosswind.

The rims are tubeless ready, so you can take advantage of the lower rolling resistance and lighter weight of a tubeless set up straight out of the box. If you prefer using tubes, this wheel is fully compatible with regular clincher tyres with tubes too.
