Zone3 designed the Lava Long Distance Short Sleeve Aero Trisuit to cope with the extra demands of Ironman distance races when small advantages can add up to big gains over the course of the event. The AERO-STRIPE material on the upper improves the suit’s aerodynamics on the bike and is soft against the skin with excellent stretch for freedom of movement. A water repellent nano-coating helps the fabric shed water on the run and bike whilst reducing drag on the swim.

Perforations keep the Cytech pad breathable and quick-drying, with the long-distance comfort provided by the high-density foam construction. Sensory fabric is used around the legs, which, as well as being super comfortable is also compressive to support the muscles for the duration of the race, staving off fatigue for longer. Heat bonding, flat locked stitching and closed stitching techniques have all been utilised where necessary in order to ensure that the suit is as comfortable and performance orientated as possible.
