This absoluteBLACK Oval 1x MTB Chainring is compatible with cranks that use a Shimano Direct Mount format, is designed for use with 12-speed drivetrain setups, is made from a strong 7075 aluminium material and is finished with a stunning, durable Rainbow Titanium coating. The narrow-wide profile of the teeth guarantees chain retention on harsh surfaces and is realised via a 3D shaping process that decreases wear and quietens drive, even in muddy conditions.
Heightened efficiency and lower oxygen consumption on challenging rides are promoted to the rider by the oval shape of the chainring. This works by timing the peak of the oval with the downstroke of the pedalling cycle and reducing resistance through the dead spot. The oval format can be used with all rear derailleurs, even those with inbuilt clutch mechanisms.
