Introducing the 2XU Propel Wetsuit. Designed specifically to enhance buoyancy and stability in the water, this suit is the beginning and end of any conversation about Ironman and long distance swimming.

This superior level of buoyancy is visible in every element of the suit, in particular the 39 cell Yamamoto neoprene buoyancy panels that have been integrated into the construction of the front of the suit. These panels on the legs, torso and chest area maximise your buoyancy while also promoting the most efficient 'down hill' swimming position.

All of this buoyancy could act to slow you down in the water. Not with the Propel. The suit's Nano SCS coating not only offers 4% extra buoyancy over standard wetsuit coating, it also enhances your hydrodynamics. Alongside the Nano SCS coating are the suit's Velocity Strakes. These enhance hydrodynamic stability in tandem with the core rollbar.

Helping you to generate power through the water are the Concave Water Entrapment Zones on the forearms. These panels increase your distance per stroke, meaning that you are able to save important energy for the second and third legs of the triathlon.

Intermediate Zone Stretch Panels, seamless shoulder and arm panels and a high elbow lift panel further boost the suits frictionless interface with the water, meaning you use less energy in your stroke. These panels are seamlessly joined for maximum flexibility and buoyancy while the 520% stretch lining enhances lateral flexibility and in-water comfort.

At the back of the suit, the all-important zipper has been assimilated into a floating panel for greater comfort in the water and a faster on and off process before your swim and in T1.
