Powerful quiet and light, AMP’s Organic Carbon Backed Disc Brake Pads offer a significant performance advantage over other pads for Shimano XT/XTR/SLX calipers. The carbon backplate acts as a thermal shield and prevents the fluid from becoming overheated, for tireless, fade-free braking. Heat conductivity is 38 times lower than steel and 280 times less than aluminium. The carbon construction also means that the pads don’t vibrate in the caliper so eliminating annoying brake squeal, and of course, carbon is much lighter than the metals normally used in disc brake pads too.
