The Cannondale Quick Disc 2 is a versatile womens hybrid bike, just as suited to commuting as it is to training and leisure riding.

The frame features Cannondale's highly regarded SAVE technology, effectively offering micro-suspension, so road feedback is greatly reduced for a comfortable, supple ride, regardless of the terrain below. Utilising carbon fibre blades, the Quick Si tapered fork also aids comfort, absorbing unwanted vibrations before they reach the rider's wrists, whilst also reducing the bikes overall weight.

The C2 Alloy frame's geometry has been tweaked with commuting in mind. The rider is placed in a semi-upright position, allowing a full view of the road ahead. This is critical for commuting as any obstacles and hazards can be seen in plenty of time to react.

Combining SRAM's Apex 1 drivetrain with the Shimano M315 brakes provides a highly responsive, yet durable setup. The hydraulic disc brakes ensure modulated, sharp stopping power, no matter the external conditions, whilst the 11-42t 11-speed cassette provides a wide enough gear range to tackle steep, sharp climbs and fast open roads equally well.

The DC3.0 wheels have been selected to offer unrivalled levels of durability, critical for the unpredictable nature of commuting, where the weather and road surfaces vary daily. Featuring double walled 32 hole rims, strength is clearly at the forefront of the design, whilst the sealed hubs ensure dirt and grime remain on the outside for smooth four-season performance.

Schwalbe Spicer tyres are an equally purposeful choice, with their wide 30mm profile, comfort and grip levels are kept high, whilst the puncture protection and reflective sidewalls offer obvious benefits to the commuter market.

The contact points between rider and bike are another well thought out aspect; utilising Cannondale's Ergo Fitness lock-on grips and a matching Fitness Women's Ergo Double Density saddle, pressure build-up and numbness are greatly reduced, for comfortable riding from dawn through to dusk.
