With only 200 units available worldwide, the ultimate version of Cannondale’s high-performance SuperSix EVO, the Leichtbau Limited Edition Frameset, drops 90 grams and gains a striking colour scheme.
The tantalising combination of low weight, efficiency and aerodynamics has long made the SuperSix EVO a firm favourite with professionals and amateurs alike, and this latest iteration continues all those advantages, despite its diet. Truncated airfoil tube shapes reduce drag by up to 30% over round tubes, but still offer similar or better stiffness for fantastic power transfer. SAVE rear stays and the 27 SL KNØT carbon seatpost add the kind of rider comfort that makes competing daily at the sharp end of a three week grand tour possible whilst more adventurous riders will love the clearance to add 30mm tyres.
The very neat Speed Release thru-axles make wheel changes quicker and simpler whilst retaining compatibility with most thru-axle wheelsets, giving maximum choice when building the frameset up into a podium-worthy machine. Mechanics will also be pleased to see that the internal cable routing runs through the front of the headtube for easier servicing and maintenance.
