Cervelo P5 Ultegra Di2 Disc TT/Triathlon Bike 2019
Cervelo is world renowned for their aerodynamic bikes, giving the P5 Ultegra Di2 Disc TT/Triathlon Bike a very enviable heritage. Key to the UCI compliant aerodynamic package is the new front end, with an external steerer/headtube assembly that allows the front profile to be narrower than ever before thus slicing more effectively through the air. The basebar and extension system is incredibly adjustable, to allow for both different types of riders and different types of events. The height, reach and width of the extensions and the pads can all be tailored to suit.
The full Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset provides accurate tried-and-tested electronic shifting with powerful, easy to operate hydraulic brakes. The DT Swiss P1800 Spline 32 wheelset help give an aerodynamic advantage without being a handful in crosswinds, and with 36mm of clearance between both the seat and chainstays there is plenty of room for up to 28mm tyres, even on the widest of modern rims, all whilst maintaining the recommended 4mm clearance on both sides.
Food and drink is an immensely important part of long-distance triathlon racing and time trialling, so Cervelo have equipped the P5 with some integrated options; the Aerobottle 500 on the downtube is aerodynamically integrated with the frame to cause minimal drag, and there is the capacity to add bottles to the seatpost and extensions if so required.
