Cervelo R3 Disc Frameset 2018
Designed following extensive testing and feedback from Team Dimension Data riders, the Cervelo R3 Disc Frameset has been engineered to get you up mountains faster. Being lightweight and stiff with responsive handling, this bike assures you of a top performance and feel on the road.
The R3 has maintained its traditional, race-ready geometry, but is now 18% and 26% stiffer at the head tube and bottom bracket respectively. Contributing to this increased stiffness is the BBright asymmetric 79mm bottom bracket which in conjunction with the oversized frame tubes assures you of a stiffer and lighter machine.
Squoval tube shapes are dialled in to optimise frame weight, aerodynamics, stiffness and compliance for each specific area of the frame. The compression-moulded carbon dropouts are just as tough as metal dropouts, but reduce the weight. A reduced-friction bottom bracket guide maintains a consistent curve for smoother shifting and easier setup whilst decreasing the frequency of service intervals.
Future-Proof Cable Management ensures the frame is compatible with current and future derailleur and brake systems, including mechanical, electronic and hydraulic brake and cable systems. Interchangeable cable stops are included that can be swapped out to accommodate upgrades so you can keep enjoying the frame with the latest technology for years to come.
Integrated disc-brake technology assures you of powerful braking in all conditions, and thru-axles and a new fork insert improve alignment, ease of use and safety.
With riders at all levels embracing the versatility of wider tyres, requiring lower-pressure in order to reduce fatigue and boost power output, the R3's wheel clearance has been widened by 4.5mm to accommodate 28mm tyres with no compromise on performance.
