The R5 Disc Team Sunweb Frameset celebrates Cervélo’s sponsorship of the UCI WorldTeam. The R5 is the bike that gets wheeled out when the day’s racing is going to be over alpine passes or along cobbled roads. The pencil-thin seatstays, D-shaped seatpost and carbon layup provide the comfort and low weight necessary to be successful in these environments, whilst the burly downtube and stiffer bottom bracket transfer every watt of power to the road effectively. The design of the frameset has led to increased stiffness of 18% at the headtube meaning that the steering is also more accurate than ever before. A shorter head tube and lower bottom bracket help make the rider more aerodynamic and have improved its high-speed handling characteristics.
