Cervelo ZHT-5 GX Eagle AXS Mountain Bike 2023
The Cervelo ZHT-5 GX Eagle AXS Mountain Bike is aimed at XC racers and riders who relish high-speed cross-country jaunts. Years of experience in designing and building long Grand Tour and rough Classics winning road bikes means that Cervelo is well versed in the art of making carbon frames both comfortable and fast at the same time.
Using this wealth of road bike manufacturing experience has helped them to produce a frame that only weighs around 900 grams, yet is plenty strong and stiff enough to cope with punishing climbs, difficult descents and finish line sprints. The geometry balances speed and handling, with a 69° head tube angle and 457mm reach (size L) allowing the bike to be ridden confidently on technical XC courses whilst clearance for 2.4” tyres provide the potential for wide rubber for extra cushioning or grip. A clever headset design routes any cables internally through the frame without the need for holes in the carbon and the threaded bottom bracket will be a welcome addition for any mechanics, professional or amateur.
With 100mm of tuneable suspension, RockShox’s SID SL Select fork is a good match for the frame’s race-ready credentials, providing supple and responsive performance over technical terrain. Wireless shifting is provided by the 12-speed GX Eagle AXS groupset, meaning that the shifts remain crisp and instant as there is no possibility for degradation from dirt, contamination or cable stretch. SRAM’s AXS smartphone app can be connected to the system via Bluetooth, giving access to shifting data, battery information and some customisation options.
The wheelset uses tubeless-ready Race Face ARC Offset 27 rims and E*thirteen TRS Race hubs with a 27mm internal width for great sidewall support, strength and cornering tye stability. 2.4” Maxxis Rekon Race EXO tyres nicely balance speed with grip and can be set up tubeless for fewer punctures and the ability to safely run lower pressures.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
