Colnago C64 Brushed Metal Road Frameset (Sloping Geometry)
This striking Brushed Metal Colnago C64 Road Frameset with sloping geometry is the result of two years of extensive research and development and follows on from the highly successful C60. There are a number of small but important changes that reduce weight, increase stiffness and improve ride quality. A UD (unidirectional) carbon finish shaves around 200 grams from the frame weight and the fork has been redesigned to improve both rider comfort and rigidity. The seat tube and seat tube lug meet to form a single piece that further increases stiffness and takes more weight off, and the aerodynamic seatpost cuts drag while offering vertical compliance to efficiently soak up road buzz.
The cable guide is moulded into the bottom bracket lug, and the larger resulting radius improves shifting performance. Colnago has kept the ThreadFit82.5 system, which blends threaded BB reliability with the wider shell of a press-fit BB. This frameset is compatible with tyres up to 28mm wide, a choice that is now gaining in popularity and offers faster rolling and a smoother ride.
