In a celebration of Colnago's 64th year, the company have released the C64 Road Frameset with high geometry.

Stiffer, stronger and more comfortable than the C60, the grams have also been shaved off through a number of adaptations to its predecessor, while enhanced clearance for wider tyres allows you the versatility to embrace the increasing popularity of 28mm tyres. This is the perfect base to build your dream bike whether you're a climber, racer or just looking for your Sunday best.

Colnago C64 Road Frameset (High Geometry)

Renowned for their top-quality frames, every Colnago product displays the exceptional attention to detail and understated style you would expect from such a brand. In celebration of their 64th year, Colnago have released the next in their flagship road racing 'C' range. The high geometry of the C64 Road Frameset means a slightly taller headtube than traditional and sloping varieties, putting riders in the optimum position without the need for a stack of spacers.

Featuring a number of small yet significant updates from the C60, this frame is stronger, stiffer and lighter, whilst offering improved ride quality and comfort. The finish has been upgraded from 3K carbon to UD (unidirectional) carbon which shaves the grams off, and this frame is compatible with both mechanical and electronic groupsets for improved versatility.

The fork has been completely redesigned. Comfort and ride quality is enhanced by the external rib shape, and an internal rib makes for exceptional strength and rigidity. The length of the fork has been increased by 5mm to retain a hollow upper structure for performance and stiffness, whilst enabling it to accommodate 28mm tyres.

The headtube has a lighter construction thanks to the reduced thickness and has been shaped to enhance side stiffness. With both a proven design, the Concept's headset features, but the material of the upper cups have been revised to improve vibration damping so fatigue in the hands and arms is reduced. Starting with the downtube design featured on the C60, the lower portion has been made narrower to match the rear triangle. Additionally, a recessed bottle cage area not only reduces drag into the wind but also improves torsional rigidity as two long ribs are created in the centre of the downtube. The cable stops for mechanical shifting options are now on the downtube, tucked away from the wind behind the headtube.

A new one-piece construction to the seat tube and seat tube lug increases stiffness and reduces weight. With an aerodynamic design, the seatpost has improved vertical compliance, soaking up bumps in the road before they are transferred onto your body, and is held securely in place by the integrated clamp. The new hidden design offers a clean look and the single removable part is tightened from below.

Sticking with a design compatible with Colnago's ThreadFit82.5 bottom bracket, the lug now has the cable guide moulded into it, resulting in the biggest possible radius for improved shifting performance. Another major update has been to the chainstays and dropouts, which are now one piece, adding vertical compliance and reducing weight whilst retaining the same lateral stiffness. The chainstays are asymmetric, with the left one being far wider to ensure your power is transferred instantly and efficiently.
