Continental GP5000S TR Tour de France Limited Edition Road Tyre

The Tour de France represents the pinnacle of cycling. To honour this great race, Continental presents the Grand Prix 5000S TR Tour de France – a limited edition version of their most advanced road tyre to date. Trusted by the pros, ridden by enthusiasts.

With Continental's unique tread compound, they have revolutionised the sport of cycling. The legendary BlackChili Compound addresses the eternal question of the best balance of grip and rolling resistance for cycling. The latest polymers, along with specially developed carbon black particles and filler materials, guarantee a unique performance on road.

Embedded in the tyre construction, Continental's revolutionary Active Comfort Technology absorbs vibrations and smooths the ride.

Vectran, spun from liquid crystal-polymer, creates a thermoplastic, multiple-thread yarn. This partially crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid, and its tensile strength is five times higher than that of steel. The Vectran breaker is lighter, more flexible, and more effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker, without affecting rolling resistance.

Continental's Lazer Grip technology makes the rider one with the road. The laser-etched micro profile structure expands over the tyre’s shoulder, providing outstanding cornering.
