DT Swiss Endurance Aero 111 ERC 1100 WTS 35mm Wheelset
The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has been meticulously refined, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed to the smallest detail. However, to further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), an aerodynamic tyre became essential. When no existing tyre could meet the high standards for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss joined forces to develop their own solution. Their strong partnership led them to collaborate with Continental, which provided advanced rubber technology. This collaboration resulted in the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, perfectly complementing the wheel’s design and establishing new aerodynamic benchmarks.
The tyre features 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are specifically designed to manage turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag across the entire wheel-tyre system for a more efficient ride.
