The aerodynamic performance of these wheels has undergone meticulous refinement, with aero rims, spokes, and hubs designed to the highest standards. However, to further optimise the wheel-tyre system (WTS), it became clear that an aerodynamic tyre was essential. When no existing tyre could meet the stringent requirements for low aero drag and balanced handling, Swiss Side and DT Swiss collaborated to develop their own solution. Their established partnership led them to work with Continental, which supplied advanced rubber technology. This collaboration resulted in the AERO 111 front wheel tyre, which complements the wheel's design perfectly and sets new aerodynamic benchmarks.

The tyre features 48 small cavities, evenly distributed across its surface. These vortex generators are specifically engineered to manage turbulence in the airflow around the front wheel, reducing drag throughout the entire wheel-tyre system and ensuring a more efficient ride.
