Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR Dark Label Tubular Wheelset

You can now own Fulcrum's Racing Speeds in a limited edition 'Dark Label' version which feature black hubs and a stealth graphic package.

These wheels are much loved by professional cyclists as the high rim profile combined with lightness make this model particularly suitable for the most varied racing situations. In the Racing Speed XLR version the hub body is made of carbon. The bearings use CULT (part of their shared lineage with Campagnolo) technology with its super-high strength and smoothness thanks to Cronitect stainless steel with thermo-chemically treated surface layer. The rim has a 50mm profile and is supported by 18 radially-laced spokes in the front wheel and 21 in the rear with doubling on the freehub side using Fulcrum's Two-to-One technology. The carbon rims are made using a particular technique by which the carbon fabric is aligned so that the resulting rim is always balanced.

Carbon brake pads, an essential for these rims, are included in the package as is Fulcrum's new quick-release skewer.

QUICK RELEASE

• New, completely redesigned and lighter aerodynamic-profile wheel block. Steel spine and eccentric, lever with drill lightening and aluminum die. Eccentric-closure system allows cyclist to modulate the pressure necessary for heightened sensitivity to find the proper closure for the block. Easy to use, with a material resistant to wear and tear, rust, and pressure.
