Despite not offering any additional insulation, by keeping the wind off they are very effective at keeping fingers toasty warm when exercising and the extended cuff forms a good seal with jacket sleeves. Their minimalist design means that there should always be room in a pocket to stash them in should temperatures rise.
The four-way stretch and 3D construction ensure that they fit perfectly, and the thumb and forefinger can operate touchscreen devices so there is no need to remove the gloves to use a phone or GPS. Reflective details help with visibility and are especially useful when indicating a turn to other road traffic.
