Taking the road cycling world by storm, the Giro Empire Road Shoe is back for the new season. Traditional meets contemporary as the lace-up closure system provides a secure fit, without creating pressure points. Brought right up to the 21st century, the Empire road shoe uses a lightweight, stiff Easton EC90 ACC sole for uncompromising power transfer.

A favourite in the professional peloton, the Empire has numerous victories to its name, on the road as well as the track.

Tipping the scales at a mere 215 grams in size 42.5, the innovative lace design keeps weight down and adds comfort. Keeping the laces away from the chain and gears, the Lace Garage, on the tongue, allows you to tuck them away.

Their lightweight credentials also stems from the EvoFibre material, which is incredibly supple, soft and breathable. This breathability provides excellent ventilation all over the foot.

Giro has joined forces with Easton and used the EC90 ACC carbon fibre sole to good effect. The stiffest sole yet, with a low 6.5 millimetre stack height, allowing for a seamless transition of power to the pedals.

A high-performance road shoe needs to be comfortable for long rides in the saddle. The SuperNatural Fit Kit, is an ingenious footbed system, which allows you to customise the insole to the arch of your foot.
