If keeping your head cool is your main priority then the Giro Ionos could be the helmet that you are looking for. Offering 15% better ventilation than Giro's Atmos helmet, the Ionos will help you to enjoy your ride in comfort when the temperature rises.

The Ionos has 21 massive Wind Tunnel vents, a design that is made possible by Giro's In-Mold construction process, which fuses a protective polycarbonate shell to the EPS foam liner. This method, when combined with a Thermoformed roll cage (to provide skeletal strength), allows for a highly vented design without any compromise being made to the overall integrity of the helmet.

The Wind Tunnel vents on the Ionos are designed to suck in cool air as you ride. This cool air is then passed over your head via internal channels, as the air passes through the helmet the lower air temperature will exchange with the higher temperature from your head. The resulting warmer air is then ejected out of the rear exhaust ports.

Roc Loc 5 provides a highly adjustable fit so that you are able to dial in just the right amount of tension, even on the go. There is a micro adjustment dial located on the rear of the helment that is easy to reach whenever needed, this is teamed with the ability to adjust fore/aft tilt so that the helmet is able to tension comfortably just below the occipital bone.

The Giro Ionos 2014 road helmet is available in Black/Red, Black/Charcoal, Matt Titainium, White Silver and Yellow/White Texture. In SuperFit sizes S (51-55cm), M (55-59cm) & L (59-63cm)
