Giro Savant MIPS Helmet
New, the Giro Savant MIPS Helmet uses the latest MIPS technology. This technology has been added to reduce the rotational forces placed on the brain in the case of an impact. A cutting edge design, the Savant also uses Giro's In-Mould construction process and combines it with an EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Liner. These two technologies are fused together into a polycarbonate shell, which further improves protection.
The latest retention system, the Roc Loc 5, has been added to provide a snug fit. This system allows for easy, on-the-go adjustment via a micro adjustment tension dial. Roc Loc 5 also allows for fore/aft adjustment meaning that no matter what your head size or shape you'll be able to place the retention system in the recommended location - just below your occipital bone.
Giro's Wind Tunnel design is found on their top of the range helmets and has filtered down to mid-range helmets such as the Savant. This ingenious design pulls in cool air through 25 vents, which is then transported through the helmet and over your head by way of internal channels, expelling the warmed air out of the rear of the helmet.
Internal padding offers comfort, wicks fast and is removable. The helmet is no heavyweight, weighing just 262 grams, in its medium size, making it perfect for road or mountain biking.
