Mavic Aksium One Disc Centre Lock Wheelset 2015
Taking the road world by storm, disc brake equipped bikes offer sublime stopping power in both the wet and the dry. The Mavic Aksium One Disc Centre Lock Wheelset 2015 is an affordable, performance driven set of wheels that have been designed specifically for use with disc brakes. The innovative rim profile paired with disc friendly spoke geometry and a durable and lightweight lacing pattern. A versatile wheelset, featuring a wide rim, allowing for a wide range of tyres in varying widths to be fitted.
Either on the road or a cyclocross bike, the cartridge bearings will be reliable and keep you spinning smoothly, due to their high quality design. For rougher roads or terrain the pin joint rim is a welcome addition, as are the 24 straight pull round spokes, offering greater strength than traditional J-bent ones, with brass nipples added for reliability.
Mounting rotors could not be simpler than with Shimano’s Centrelock disc rotor mounting platform, which has been added to provide numerous rotor possibilities. The wheelset's versatility continues with the front axle accepting both regular 9 millimetre quick releases or 15 millimetre thru-axles. This is achieved by simply changing the axle end caps.
