The full carbon monobloc design of both wheels perfectly connects the full carbon rims, bladed spokes and hubs for fast and smooth rolling.

Perhaps the most significant development that Mavic have made to the 2016 model is the integration of the TgMAX technology. TgMAX technology consists in laying up several types of high technology resins, then fixing them using a proprietary heat treatment process to achieve the highest possible resistance to braking heat. This means the rims are far more capable of standing up to heavy braking in the worst of conditions.

With the TgMAX technology, Mavic claim this to be the stiffest carbon wheel-tyre system on the market thanks to the 40 millimetre deep rim profile, 100% carbon spokes, asymmetric rear rim profile and rim to rim (R2R) spoke profile through the front hub. The R2R system means the spokes travel from one side of the rim to the other making the wheel lighter, stiffer and stronger.

Inside the rear hub Mavic's Force Transfer System Light reinforces key transmission components for faster and stronger engagement and a balanced spread of the power transfer over the hub's entire body.
