Integrating many of the technologies that have made Mavic's Cosmic wheels the choice of many pros the world over, the Mavic Cosmic Elite Clincher Wheelset 2017 is ideally suited to riders who are looking for speed, resilience and compliance without breaking the bank.

One of these technologies is the FTS-L freehub at the rear. This Force Transfer System Light reinforces key transmission components for faster and stronger engagement and a balanced spread of the power transfer over the hub's entire body.

The 30 millimetre deep aero rim profile is complemented by the ultra-bladed straight pull spokes and reinforced lower bridge for a minimal level of drag. The SUP rim joint uses arc welding and milling for a smooth and strong finish that does not affect the braking surface or the rim's integrity.

Speaking of the braking surface, the UB Control tract is precisely CNC machined for improved braking friction and the elimination of any unwanted shuddering while braking.

Finishing of these wheels are the iconic Cosmic decals, which look superb travelling at speed on an alpine descent or leant up against a bench on a coffee stop.
