The Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL Clincher International 6 Bolt Disc Wheelset is one of the most versatile, stiffest and lightweight wheels that Mavic produce, providing high level control and power transfer through heavily researched and tested technology which is visible with their GripLink and Isopulse features.

With the heavy influx of road riders converting to disc brakes in recent years, it’s no wonder Mavic has released their new disc brake line, which boasts major improvements in both stopping ability and durability when compared to other rim brakes. Not only do disc brakes provide greater stopping power in every condition, but are also more reliable when it comes to braking.

The wheelset's key features all contribute towards an overall ultra-dynamic ride. This is thanks to its lower inertia, weight of just 1565g and high lateral stiffness, derived from a 24 spoke setup, both front and rear. This ensures you get the optimal power transfer.

A 40mm rim profile has been adopted alongside a 25mm external width (17mm internal) that not just reduces drag, but integrates the tyre perfectly and gives superior handling in all conditions. Rolling resistance is also reduced through Mavic’s GripLink and PowerLink tyres. These offer an improved ride thanks to their light and supple high density casing. Grip is optimised with Mavic's a unique tread pattern.

Split second engagement can be the difference between first and second place, so Mavic’s Instant Drive 360 freewheel system has been incorporated to engage at an angle of only 9 degrees. A large contactless rubber seal provides low enough friction for this to happen, whilst high level end caps makes this super versatile.

The tyres are Mavic's Yksion Pro GripLink (front) and PowerLink (rear) with a single compound and 127 TPI casing, making for a smooth, reliable and durable ride.

This wheelset is compatible with Shimano/SRAM or Campagnolo and is convertible to XD-R with an optional driver body. The front axle is convertible from a quick release to 12mm with the included adapters (convertible to 15mm thru axle with optional adapters) and the rear axle is convertible from Quick Release to 12mm thru axles with the included adapters.
