Mavic Open Pro Ceramic Rim 36h
With an impressive weight of just 435 grams, the Mavic Open Pro Ceramic Rim 36h is a great option for any rider looking to build up a set of training, commuter or winter wheels that’ll last through a variety of weather conditions. The rim uses Maxtal technology, which replaces traditional 6106 alloy with a stronger, lighter version that’s 30% more resistant than other alloy rims.
Although the Open Pro Ceramic Rim 36h is more affordable than many other rims on the market, it still hosts all the same enhancements as the rest of the Mavic rim range. SUP stands for Soudé Usiné Process, meaning after the rim has been bent, the joint is then arc welded, creating a super smooth finish that’s extremely strong and eliminates shuddering when braking. It also gives superior wheel balance.
Using precise CNC machinery within the UB (Usiné Brut Control) Control, Mavic have also been able to improve braking friction and further enhance the reduction of shuddering in the braking system when braking.
With a recommended tyre width from 19 to 28mm, these rims are ideal for any rider looking to ride in a wide variety of weathers. The 36h spoke count enhances strength and tension for a more reliable ride.
