Oakley have had a long and illustrious history in the professional sport, worn by some of cycling’s most renowned champions, the likes of Giro d’Italia winner Andy Hampsten, Tour de France victor Carlos Sastre and more recently, dominator of Classics, Fabian Cancellara are all Oakley wearers. Reaching their 30th anniversary of producing high performance eyewear, Oakley has created a very limited range of Heritage glasses. Celebrating some of the most iconic glasses the American company has ever made. The Oakley Razor Blades were, some say, the most successful Oakley’s ever to roll out of their American design studios.

Used by film stars, celebrities and the world’s biggest sporting personalities. They did not just look cool; they also performed exceptionally to take them to numerous victories in the professional cycling peloton, transforming Oakley into the most successful sports eyewear brand. Stylish, retro and back for 2014, Oakley is giving you the chance to wear a true piece of cycling memorabilia.

The Razor Blades were an improved version of the Eyeshades and Blades and were released in 1987. Well-ventilated, lightweight, durable and fitted beautifully. The most technologically advanced glasses when released, incredibly good lens clarity and the first pair of glasses the user could customise lens and frame colour.

Nearly 30 years on and the current crop of Oakley glasses even now share many of the same design cues found in these truly groundbreaking glasses.

It may be a design nearly 30 years old but Oakley have subtly brought the Razor Blades right up to date with improved fit and comfort courtesy of the included ‘trigger’ and straight ear stems to help the glasses sit perfectly on the face.

As these are clearly a special set of sunglasses, Oakley have also included a badge, stickers and a very retro guitar pick to give these glasses a unique twist.

Finishing off what is a sensational collectors piece, a custom Microclear bag is provided keeping your glasses safe and also acting as a handy lens-cleaning device.

Available in a special edition black frame colour with fire iridium lenses.

  • Lens Colour: Fire Iridium
  • Frame Colour: Black
  • Arm Colour: Black
