The Orca Sonar has dominated the mid-range tier of wetsuits for some time now and things have not changed for 2014. Still featuring some of the most advanced features found on a wetsuit of this price, the Sonar is a versatile suit that offers tremendous value for money.

This female version of the Sonar has been contoured to perfectly fit the female form.

The Sonar women's wetsuit is constructed from Yamamoto neoprene, a material that offers low resistance, moldable comfort, high heat retention and durability. Yamamoto neoprene is SCS (Super Composite Skin) coated, giving the neoprene water repellant qualities, this reduces drag and also the likelihood of water retention which can add unnecessary weight to the suit.

The Sonar women's suit features 4mm thick neoprene front panels, which is teamed with thinner, 3mm, neoprene panels on the back of the suit to create lift- placing you in the best position possible to maintain an efficient swim stroke. There is also Orca's 'Aerodrome' panels located on the lower back/hips (core stability panels), calves and forearms. Aerodrome is a 4mm thick neoprene that contains hundreds of air cavities resulting in 30% greater buoyancy, this helps to reduce muscle fatigue to key areas and improve overall swim stability.

A full range of motion is guaranteed thanks to Orca's use of Deltastretch panels in the shoulders, Hyperstretch in the underarms and a Multistretch inner lining. A good range of motion will ensure you are able to maintain a powerful and efficient stroke, just like you've practiced in the pool.

The slipstream zip found on the Sonar is low drag- reducing your resistance through the water, and easy to use- making transition to the bike as fast as possible. The sonar also features a low profile neck that limits the chances of any water finding its way into the suit and also helps to reduce chafing and discomfort around the neck area.
