Princeton CarbonWorks’ Mach 7580 Disc Tactic Wheelset has been designed to compete with the very deepest wheels in terms of aerodynamic advantage, but to still offer easy and responsive handling.

The carbon rims feature a sawtooth design that varies between 75mm and 80mm deep, which has less drag than a uniform rim and helps provide consistent handling in the wind. With an external width of 27mm, the rim marries up well to the tyre sidewall to give a smoother profile to improve airflow and the holeless construction means that no rim tape is required if setting them up tubeless.

The Tactic TR01 hubs are incredibly light at just 64 grams for the front hub and 151 grams for the rear with a straightpull spoke interface for strength. The ConicalFace freehub mechanism has a large engagement surface for improved durability and efficiency whilst the 45 teeth ensure super-fast engagement when putting the power down. ABEC 7 ceramic bearings also reduce friction and increase longevity, with the Tungsten Disulfide coating reducing drag still further. 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes in each wheel tie the hubs and rims together, keeping the wheel true, efficient and compliant.
