Over the last few years the popularity of 29 inch wheels for mountain bikes has grown considerably. The larger wheel provides better rolling resistance, is faster over certain terrain and offers greater comfort on long rides.
The Roval Control 29 Carbon Wheelset uses an innovative zero bead-hook design that results in a strong setup. The zero bead-hook is a production technique that employs continuous fibre layup on the sidewall and rim bead. This improves impact strength drastically so reducing the chance of the wheels folding under you in a crash or a big drop off.
A clincher rim allows for numerous tyre options, while being tubeless ready means the wheelset is also very versatile and perfect for racing. The inclusion of DT Swiss spokes and nipples give a reliable and lightweight ride, with sealed cartridge bearing adding durability and keeping mud and grime from entering the hubs.
