Scott Speedster 40 Road Bike 2018
Designed for long days in the saddle, the Speedster 40 Road Bike 2018 uses Scott's new Endurance geometry to provide a fast, comfortable ride, suited to full day sportives and long distance commutes. A natural riding position is achieved by raising the headtube slightly, allowing the rider to sit more upright and have a full view of the route ahead, important for comfort and safety, as visibility is greatly increased.
The 6061 alloy combines durability, low weight and value, providing great performance at a reasonable price point. The Shimano Claris 8-speed groupset pairs perfectly, offering the precise, reliable shifting Shimano products are renowned for, whilst braking is controlled and responsive thanks to the Tektro comp callipers at the front and rear. The combined 50x34T chainset and 11-32T cassette provide a wide enough gear range for high-velocity efforts on the flat and effortless climbing alike.
Syncros components cover the rest of the bike, providing top level performance and styling. These parts have been developed alongside the Scott range to ensure they are in keeping with the bikes aesthetics and purpose, colour-coded to match the frame for a sleek finish and lightweight for maximum pedalling efficiency. Additionally, the 28mm wide Schwalbe Lugano tyres provide another level of comfort, damping unwanted road feedback before it is transferred to the rider, whilst increasing grip for confident, fast cornering.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
