Shimano’s Dura-Ace R9270 C36 TL Carbon Clincher Disc Brake Wheelset is their pro-level mid-depth offering that balances low weight and easy handling with some aerodynamic savings.
The carbon rims are tubeless-compatible for extra grip and comfort with greater puncture resistance whilst the 28mm external width pairs well with wider, modern-style tyres to create a stable and aerodynamic interface. Straight pull bladed spokes lace the rims to the Shimano hubs, with double-contact seals for weather protection and longevity whilst the wide flange spacing increases rigidity for better handling.
The Direct Engagement freehub uses two interlocking interfaces for instantaneous power transfer, making the bike very responsive to any rider inputs for acceleration away from a corner or in the finish line sprint.
