Do not think though that should you want to push it this bike is not ready for that, as it boasts an incredible race pedigree from some of the harshest courses in the world, such as Paris-Roubaix.

There is no chance of this bike looking out of date thanks to the addition of powerful, hydraulic disc brakes. Ideal for long miles in the saddle and featuring Specialized's state of the art 8r FACT carbon fibre and Zertz inserts. Finished off with SRAM Rival 11-speed components, Specialized Espoir Elite tyres and fast, AXIS 2.0 disc wheels.

The lightweight FACT 8r carbon fibre has been used in the frame construction to make a frame incredibly stiff yet also dampens the road buzz.

The compact race design gives a good level of comfort, ideal for epic 100 mile sportives but still feeling direct and lively enough if you want to sprint over a climb or push it hard round a hairpin corner.

Specialized’s fantastic Zertz system dampens rough roads and is used in the seatstays and fork, providing a smooth ride. This is the same shock absorption technology used on Boonen’s race bike.

A FSA Gossamer Pro BB30 crankset is attractive, stiff and shifts smoothly.

AXIS 2.0 Disc wheels are designed specifically for disc brakes and are responsive and look rapid! These are paired with Specialized Espoir Elite tyres that offer comfort, grip and puncture protection.

What really makes this bike stand out from the competition is the addition of the latest in 11-speed components, the SRAM Rival drivetrain. This double chainring setup, paired with a wide 11-32 sprocket cassette, provides pin sharp shifting and a smooth, reliable ride. SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brakes provide assured and powerful braking in the dry and wet.

Finishing kit comes straight from Specialized, with a stiff and durable Comp level handlebars and stem, both lightweight and shaped perfectly for an ergonomic ride. Keeping weight down and further contributing to it’s silky smooth ride, a single bolt, Specialized CG-R, FACT carbon seatpost gives the rider an armchair ride, however rough the road is.

Available in a timeless gloss rocket red, black and clean colour scheme and in a range of sizes. This is an ideal bike for commuting, racing, sportives or just leisure riding with friends.
