Specialized Shiv Expert Triathlon Bike 2014
Specialized make some of the fastest, most aerodynamic road and timetrial specific bikes, yet a truly specific designed triathlon bike has never hit the market, until now. Specialized has used sponsored athletes feedback, race and windtunnel testing to create the Shiv Expert Triathlon Bike for 2014. Created with the triathlete and Ironman athlete in mind combining a pioneering SWAT system with unique frame materials used to make one of the fastest, most affordable race ready triathlon bikes on the scene.
A triathlon specific fit has also been taken into account when designing the Pro 10r Carbon, FACT IS frame. This combined with fully adjustable aerobars, mean you can dial the fit precisely to your needs. Whether you are doing a short distance 40 kilometre olympic distance triathlon bike leg or a monster 180 kilometre Ironman triathlon, the Shiv Expert Triathlon Bike will provide the most efficient and comfortable position, allowing you to ride to your full potential.
New for 2014, after years of development Specialized has launched the SWAT System, which stands for storage, water, air and tools. Basically a means of carrying all your training or race day essentials, discretely, aerodynamically and efficiently on your bike.
The SWAT System is multi-talented offering the Fuelcell compartment and the Fuelselage water-carrying device, paired together for the ultimate nutrition package.
The Fuelcell is a rubber pouch that sits just above the Fueselage on the down tube.
The Fuelselage element of the SWAT system is a water-carrying device, sliding down into the downtube of the frame. It is removable, so easy to clean and holds approximately 570 millilitres of fluid, depending on what size frame you have.
A rubber stopper is placed behind the stem on the toptube providing easy refilling on the go and a handy, easy to use mouthpiece, with two optional valves, has been added for quick hydration.
At the rear of the bike storage has been combined into the Specialized Sitero triathlon specific saddle. Feature packed, with a tripod attachment allowing for aerodynamic easy to hand bottle storage, a transition hook and even room for attaching CO2 Cartridges to it.
The bike has Shimano Ultegra 11-speed components, providing precise, smooth gear changing, along with a very stylish, strong and light FSA crankset ,with 52/34 chainrings, offering plenty of gearing options.
The carbon FSA crank is also BB30, so easy to maintain with the Specialized OSBB system.
Upgraded, top of the line Dura-Ace TT gear shifter levers provide rapid and reliable shifting with the rest of the components coming from Specialized, including the specific Shiv Aero front and rear brakes paired to TRP carbon levers.

Technical Specification
Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
