With a 102-tooth engagement ring, the freehub offers quick pick-up when accelerating up a climb or out of a corner and the sealed bearings ensure that the hubs run smoothly despite any mud or puddles.

The 28mm wide alloy rims allow tyres up to 47c or 2.15” to be fitted for greater comfort and grip off-road, especially if run tubeless. As the wheels are supplied with tubeless tape installed and tubeless valves in the box, setting up the wheels for use without inner tubes is quick and simple.

Reliability is key to off-road riding, so Pillar Wing spokes have been used to complete the build, making maintenance, truing and replacement as straightforward as possible. Spare spokes are included with the wheelset so that any issues can be solved with a minimum of time and hassle.

Crash replacement policy

Crashes, unexpected accidents and falls can happen under normal riding conditions, therefore if your product has been registered within 3 months of purchase we will offer to replace it with an identical or equivalent product up to 40% off RRP within the first 3 years of ownership. This crash replacement policy only applies to the original owner.

Limited warranty

Vel wheels come with a two-year limited warranty for manufacturing or material defects that would appear during normal use, with the exception of wear and tear parts. The warranty is extended to 3 years if registered within the first 3 months from the purchase date.
