The patented bulge rim shape maintains laminar airflow longer than all other industry shapes reducing wind resistance and decreasing the energy needed to attain and maintain the speeds you desire.

When Zipp introduced the 900 they changed expectations for disc wheels. Zipp demonstrated that they didn't have to weigh as much as a small dog while offering the stiffness necessary to perform under the world's greatest cyclists. The 900 continues to be the disc of choice for riders who want the speed of a disc and the ease of use of a clincher rim.

Rather than post-bonding a rim around a flat or lenticular disc, Zipp have incorporated their patented toroidal rim shape and used proprietary M2CMô technology to increase strength while reducing drag around the interface of aluminium and carbon. For long-course triathletes, the bulged cross-section offers a comfortable vertical compliance that can reduce fatigue during long stretches in the saddle.

With the ease of clinchers and optimal aerodynamics for tires up to 23 mm, the 900 Clincher is the perfect choice on less-than-perfect road surfaces. Due to the shallow valve hole opening we recommend valve stems of 32mm or less for easier valve adaptor access.
