2015 Triathlon Evening Recap

On Thursday 26th March Sigma Sports hosted an evening dedicated to all things triathlon to celebrate the start of this year's triathlon season. Over £1,500 worth of triathlon equipment was won, alongside workshop demos, helpful advice from representatives of the biggest tri brands and guest speeches from Mark Kleanthous and Magnus Backstedt.

The night was a fantastic success, with a lively atmosphere and good attendance right through the night. Guests were greeted at the door by complimentary drinks and samples of the latest nutrition products provided by Etixx.

Once inside the store customers were able to get hands on with all the latest triathlon gear and quiz representatives of brands such as Cervelo, 2XU, BlueSeventy, Trek, Orca, Zoggs, Oakley and Zone3 on their 2015 product ranges.

Throughout the night there were some great prizes given away to lucky guests who entered the prize draw, with the total prize fund in excess of £1,500. Prizes included this signed Etixx Quick-Step team jersey.

The Sigma Sports workshop opened its doors and Workshop Mechanic, Andrew Wagerer, gave an informative demonstration on the quickest and most efficient way to change a flat, something vitally important in a race situation.

The highlight of the evening was having the pleasure to welcome two highly qualified speakers to give seminars. Mark Kleanthous gave an informative talk to a captivated audience on 5 ways to increase your speed or your next triathlon. Mark was followed by Paris-Roubaix winner turned Ironman, Magnus Backstedt. Magnus gave his seminar on the subject of training with power, introducing the latest crank-based power meter available; the Verve Cycling Infocrank. Watch a full-length video of Magnus' 30 minute seminar.

Thank you to everyone who came along to visit the store and made the night such an enjoyable experience. Stay tuned for more upcoming events at the shop throughout the summer!
